Tonights NASCAR races were the first to be run on the newly constructed wooden circuit and what a lot of firsts followed.
This was the first time drivers from Norwich Slot Racing visited us for a proper race night with excellent performances by their drivers Roy, Roger and Ryan (two wins, a second and a third.)

Roger winning the A final in commanding style his fourth NASCAR A Final win in four races,

the previous being Norwich Slot Racings, Anglia Slot Racings and the Mussel Bay's NASCAR meeting.
Another first was yet another lap record by Andy GH of 7.090 showing every one how quickly he has adapted from a plastic track to wood in such a short time and gaining four wins in the heats.
Welcome also to Tony our newest member this too being his first race night and clearly he too is not taking any prisoners in the following weeks, thanks for joining us Tony.
Yet another first was the Hevingham Hustlers (Dave's) appearance in the F final,

but he did work his way through to the C final, a good result considering the cars handling problems and lack of grip on the new track which he finally sorted.
All in all this was a great night with every one having a great nights racing and enjoying themselves.
Next weeks race night is Classic F1 with a visit from members of Mussel Bay of Kings Lynn hoping they can show us the way on wood as the Norwich guys did.

'Winning the A final is becoming the norm for Andy. Nice to see Paul up there battling through the carnage to take a well earned second in the A final.

Also good to see Mark back in the top final after his spell in hospital. The Hevingham Hustler (David) did a great job to take third but lost his lap record to Andy who now holds the record at 9.791 sec's.
Also good drives from Little Jon second in B final and Kevin now getting up there finishing third in the B. As for me, well poor night really , couldn't stay with the big boys so finished third in the B.
Steve C drove well too in the C final but his Slot it Audi was no match for Jons Pro Race Mosler. Terry another casualty from a recent hospital stay drove well too with the Ninco Mosler to finish third in the C final.
Harry, Austen, Alex, Big John and Ian with the Mosler rattler also are improving each week, Ian stepping up to the D final.
All in all a great nights racing with lots of laughs and banter - this is what Slot Racing is all about.
Averils back making the tea next week, so those of you who had my gnats pee last night will be pleased.
Next week is our only magnet class Mini Challenge - see you there. Mike'
